According to the Water Protection Act, Art. 22, the owner of tank installations containing liquids hazardous to water (e.g. heating oil, gasoline, chemicals) must ensure that the devices required for the protection of water bodies are installed, regularly inspected (every 10 years), properly operated and maintained.
